Khanti 66 LP review
Dub music rules ! Affiliated to the Jamaican culture of the seventies, Tu Shung Peng is a reggae collective born in 1998 in the south of Paris, composed of 9 passionate musicians.
After the resounding success of their previous albums, they unveil their 5th album, named “Channel 5”. A true homage to Jamaican culture, but also the fruit of several years of musical production and human encounters made in Jamaica over time.
The legendary vocal trio “The Viceroys” is featured in this album. Definitely one of the best roots reggae album 2020, which pays homage to reggae 70’s.
This album brings together the last three recorded songs from THE VICEROYS discography. Indeed, shortly after recording these 3 titles, the leader and founding member of the group, Wesley Tinglin died. Other guests include singers Bongo, Simon Dan, Trevor Roots, Nazzleman and Moses.
