BARRO 10 review
Barro Music Label reaches its tenth release with a tremendous EP in which the protagonist (even on the cover) is Nöle, boss of the label. In Electro Bloody Music, the popular DJ and producer from Pamplona delivers four original songs that are accompanied by a fantastic remix by Delectro. The renowned Colombian producer, active since 2006, has published on some of the best international labels and with his influences from the EBM of the eighties, electro and techno, he is the ideal person to accompany Barro's boss on such an important release. . As for Nöle, after the success of Mendekua, his previous work published in 2022, shows us the best he knows how to do: dark and frenetic techno with an EBM flavor, like the one he played during his long residency at Stardust and does now in The association.
On side A of Electro Blood Music we find three originals, the first two could be included in the Techno Body Music category while the third is more purely techno. We warm up with BuruHilketa, a dark song with a certain experimental atmosphere equipped with an incisive line of synthesizers and some disturbing vocal samples that accompany us throughout most of the composition. Shaktale shares some of the atmosphere of the first song, also featuring vocal samples and a haunting synth melody that is quite catchy. To highlight the quite complex rhythm and extremely careful production that we recommend listening to with headphones to appreciate in full detail. As we mentioned before, Hot Cemetery is a piece of techno, with hypnotic synthesizers with an acidic and tremendously forceful touch. With this hype, you could definitely demolish a house!
On side B we find another original song titled Noisebuilder and the Delectro remix. Noisebuilder, with its fat and aquatic bass, starts out more techno but, little by little, it also includes EBM details. The song lives up to its name and the noise builds, little by little, layer by layer while the intensity does not stop growing. With a very hard punch, spiced in the background by synthesizers that help create atmosphere, it is one of the clearest track-busters on the EP. Delectro delivers a slightly stronger and darker remix, a blast of pure Techno Body Music that closes this magnificent EP.
