Archaic Print 04 Commentaire
Kallaikoi is the term used to designate all the Celtic clans settled in ancient Gallaecia (northwest of the Iberian Peninsula). They were skilled in metallurgy and the production of tools and weapons, and they worshiped a variety of deities, some of which were related by nature to war. Although they disappeared as an ethnic group in ancient times due to Romanization and later influences, their cultural legacy of Celtic influence in Galicia persists today. In some ways, that atavistic legacy endures among the records of the two albums between you and your men.
The second album begins with Techno with syncopated bass drums and industrial nuances of The Transhumans with 'Ánima'. Ian Axide proposes a robust and percussive Techno in 'Antro', and Obseth lets you use the arpexes in 'Pink Pills'. These two songs owe their name to Techno that goes back to the golden years of monolithic music in the late 90s.
The B side begins with local heroine and Archaic's co-alma mater, Proyecto Inopia, which relies on strong rhythms and sharp synth sequences. like shark teeth, which also seem to pay homage to previous decades in 'Hecate'. Mist
Gasp also follows a line of metallic monotrax in 'Standarte'. The first 12” Brais with '75', where he releases a Techno vs New and Synth Wave with a look at the 80s.
The second EP drops to the intensity of the tempo, and opens with the gentle and nostalgic Electro of Synth Alien in 'Pakhum'. The local Lefrenk has an intensity and tempo in arpexos on a propulsive Electro-Techno wave in 'Fenix'. And also from Coruña, Roi contains the beats with an electro base that then advances towards some obsessive and lacerating sequences in 'Melusa'.
On the last side of the double album, David Karro opens with 'Ionosfera', a song of disturbing synthesizers that does not need beats to shape its hypnotic and nebulous character. 27 003 merges with the sounds of classic Electro rhythm boxes in 'Sweet', also with clear IDM and dreamy invocations. Corrosivo continues that line, with marked echoes of Sheffield in 'Fast Food'. The EP is the only Death Whistle with two seus habitual opuses that coexist in darkness, beauty and epic.
